Arash Sadeghi, student activist and student os Allameh Tabatabaii University, on 27 December 2009 ( Ashura) is arrested in Tehran and after appeal he is sentenced to 3 years.
On the 23 of June 2009 he is charged with assembly and collusion and propaganda against the Iranian regime, Yet again he is sentenced of six years in prison, and his prison sentence rose to 9 years.
On 3 December 2009, after being summons to the court was moved to Section 209 of Evin Prison.
On 9 December Arash has begun hunger strike in protest to the beating of his interrogators.
On 23 December 2009, after 17 days of solitary confinement he is moved to the general wardand ended to the hunger strike.
Once again, 31 December 2009 he is moved to solitary confinement in Ward 209 and was beaten severely by the Interrogator of the Information Ministry. Meanwhile according to the Human Rights Watch's reports for physical and psychological torture Arash's status was very critically.
On 13 December 2011 with the end of the sentence, Arash is released from prison, but he is arrested less than one month later.
It is more than a year that Arash is re-arrested with the silence of the media and human rights activists, without any Sentence and uncertain.
We, the undersigned, condemn the arbitrary detention of Mr. Sadeghi and we are calling for his immediate and unconditional release.
We require of International Human Rights community to investigate the case of prisoners in political Iran and especially Mr. Arash Sadeghi.
