A Report About The Clinic Of Evin Prison

The clinic of Evin prison is reported to be in a very bad condition which has increased the dissatisfaction among the prisoners.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), wrong medicine prescription that has been complained many times by the prisoners is just ignored and every time an inappropriate excuse is being given. Even though prisoners provided their medicines themselves from outside of the prison and gave it to the clinic for later usage, the medicines were tact. The tests are not correct or even the test results have been given to the wrong persons.

This report also mentioned that the clinic is not clean and does not have even the minimum requirements.

Besides, the medicine containers are so dirty that have become a source of contagious diseases.

Ambulances are also in a bad condition and have almost no operating equipment in them. The hygienic condition of these vehicles is so bad that the people cannot withstand it.

Need to be mentioned, Evin prison wards do not have trolleys or any other equipment for carrying an unconscious person. In such conditions the cellmates have to carry the prisoner and the warden or other authorities do not make any effort to help them.

Worth noting that the prisoners’ transfer is not being done in time, and there are plenty of unreasonable and unnecessary harshness in the process. The prisoners in bad condition instead of being transferred to the hospital are often injected tranquilizers or steroid and sent back to their wards.
