Saeid Shirzad is still under arrest in Evin Prison

Saeid Shirzad will be under arrest at least for 2 more weeks.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Saeid Shirzad, children’s rights activist has been arrested 64 days ago in Tabriz and was transferred to Evin Prison afterwards.
The authorities have extended his arrest warrant for 20 more days and his family has not been able to visit him yet.
One of his relatives told HRANA’s reporter: “This process may take for long time. We are really concerned about his condition and the authorities do not answer our questions.”
He was arrested on 21 August 2012 when he went to Ahar, East Azerbaijan, to help and aid the earthquake-stricken people there and after 19 days detention, he was released on bail.
Saied Shirzad was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment because of this case in branch 26 of the Revolutionary Court.
