HRANA News Agency – Akbar Mohajeri, one of the civic activists of Tabriz has been arrested by the security forces on Thursday October 3, in terms of verdict enforcement.
According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), Akbar Mohajeri the civic activist from Tabriz has been arrested and transferred to the quarantine of Tabriz prison.
He was arrested with some other activists on August 31, 2011 due to the protests against the critical situation of Urmia lake and was freed from Tabriz prison on a 30 million tomans bail on November 19 of the same year.
Mr. Mohajeri was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment and as well 8 months suspended imprisonment on January 7, 2012 by judge Hamblabr in branch 1 of Tabriz revolutionary court on charge of colluding and gathering to act against national security through distributing posters related to Urmia lake. He was exonerated of propagating against the regime accusation.
Akbar Mohajeri has been transferred to the quarantine of Tabriz prison to spend his imprisonment duration.
